  • No Contract Plans. All of Net10 Wireless’ cell phone plans are contract-free and you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time depending on what you need.
  • Bring Your Own Phone Option. If you want to save more money on your cell phone plan, you can select the bring your own cell phone option to get the most out of your Net10 Wireless plan.

  • International Features Available. Net10 Wireless allows you to purchase a $10 Global Calling Card so you can use your phone internationally if needed.

👎 What We Didn’t Like

  • Pricier Side of MVNOs. Many people love Net10 Wireless, but have complained about how expensive their plans can be where the cheapest one is around $20 and the highest is $65.
  • Low Data Caps. For the set data allotment plans through Net10 Wireless, they are relatively low compared to other MVNOs. You can choose a 2GB, 5GB, 10GB, or 40GB plan.
  • Deprioritization. Just like any MVNO, you will have to suffer with data deprioritization.
  • No Apple, Samsung, or Google Products. If you want to purchase a new cell phone through Net10 Wireless, it’s important to note that they don’t offer any Apple, Samsung, or Google phones, but you’re able to bring them to your new plan.
  • Poor Customer Service. Many customers have also complained about the poor customer service through Net10 Wireless, especially through their online live chat option.

How Well Does Net10 Wireless Actually Work?

Call & Text Performance

Since Net10 Wireless allows you to have access to all three popular networks in the country, the cell and text performance is some of the best for an MVNO. You’ll be able to experience reliable coverage all the time and your phone will automatically connect to what network has the strongest signal.

Data Speeds

You will be able to take advantage of some of the best data speeds through T-Mobile, AT&T, and even Verizon Wireless that are reliable all throughout the country.

Net10 Wireless vs. Competitors

No matter what phone carrier you are looking at, there is always a competitor that tries to outshine them in every aspect.

Net10 Wireless vs. Tracfone

One of Net10 Wireless’ biggest competitors that are out there is Tracfone. While they are extremely affordable and offer great plans for people of all ages, there are some cons to the company compared to Net10 Wireless. They don’t offer unlimited data plans, have limited mobile hotspot capabilities, and they are more expensive for high data users.

Net10 Wireless vs. Red Pocket Mobile

Red Pocket Mobile is yet another competitor of Net10 Wireless and while many people love the affordability of their plans and the options that they offer, they have one main con. This carrier offers plans through GSM and CDMA, which are T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon Wireless phones. Many people don’t know what their phone is, so it can be confusing when signing up for a plan through them.

Net10 Wireless vs. Tello

One of the most popular MVNOs that is out there as of now is Tello. Tello is mainly worth it for people who don’t use a ton of data, because they offer low set data allotment plans compared to unlimited ones.

Net10 Wireless Customer Service

One of the most important things when it comes to choosing any cell phone carrier is knowing how good the customer service is.

It’s important to get to know Net10 Wireless’ customer service and exactly how to get a hold of them.

Make sure to give them a call at 1-877-836-2368 if you purchased one of their cell phones or 1-855-333-CELL (2355) if you brought your own cell phone.

What Customers Have to Say About Net10 Wireless

“Over the past 5 years I have been using Net10. I buy a fairly cheap phone and use Net 10's BYOP plan. The cell phone coverage is very good and I have never had a problem with anything. Idk why more people don't use Net10. It's so cheap, no contract, and awesome cell coverage.” - Zack. (via Consumer Affairs 3.9 / 5 stars)

“I had them port from a VOIP type line (Republic Wireless), so it took longer than normal to get my phone working, and I also gave them the wrong PIN for the transfer, adding to the delay. Customer service was responsive, they took me through my problem step by step and escalated me once. They even gave me a number and extension to call back if I had any more problems.” - Matthew. (via Consumer Affairs 3.9 / 5 stars)

“Was loyal, prepaid, automatically every month for more than 3 years. Now, NO service at times and very poor online access goes down and NO true calling in customer service help. They cancelled services maybe, couldn't confirm issues, and always gave me run arounds, NO help and told me incorrect information that made it very difficult for me to transfer my same number to a new provider. They even just hang up the phone on very calm customer discussions or questions. NET10 wireless are deceiving and possibly stealing from the customers and not providing their end of the deal! If I could give them Less than 1 star, Customer service is POOR, Online sign in MY ACCOUNT has been down so many times. You cannot access your online account or even get your own correct information.” - Debbie. (via Consumer Affairs 3.9 / 5 stars)
